Dimakya Island

Dimakya Island is in the Municipality of Coron, Palawan. A part of the Calamian Group of Islands, it is situated at the Northern tip of Palawan, the Philippine's last frontier.

Dimakya Island is located in the northern Palawan region of the Philippines is a very beautiful part of the world. The reef around the island is home to many turtles, fish, and a beautiful school of jack. Believe it or not, most of this footage was shot on one dive!

Bugsuk Island

In a country with innumerable amazing beaches, Bugsuk Island is hiding one arguably even more sublime than Boracay, the picturesque and relatively pricey tourist favorite. The sand is blindingly white and incredibly fine, and the tract from the tree line to the sea is wide and empty.

Watch out for long worms called wakwak that live in the sand, the locals dip them in vinegar to eat as a snack. Bugsuk Island has no electricity, no resorts, and no beach parties -- just paradise in its purest form. While some travelers camp with the permission of private landowners, others take day trips by boat from Rio Tuba.

Palawan has become my favorite getaway. I prefer the beaches and sights of Busuanga and the Calamianes Islands.

Especially fond of Culion, the former leper colony, and Coron, Calauit and Sanggat Island. Still  relatively ubtouched though the tourist boom is fast approaching.

Tapyas is a Cuyunon term which means sliced from the whole. According to the history, during the Second World War, the American Soldiers discovered that the Japanese Troops were hiding at Mt. Tapyas. Based at the present location of Claudio Sandoval Elementary School, they targeted and bombed the said mountain, with the old cañon near the flagpole as the living proof thus resulting to destroy a part of the mountain.

Palawan is composed of the long and narrow Palawan Island, plus a number of other smaller islands surrounding the main island. The Calamianes Group of Islands, to the northwest consists of Busuanga Island, Culion Island, and Coron Island. 

Durangan Island almost touches the westernmost part of Palawan Island, while Balabac Island is located off the southern tip, separated from Borneo by the Balabac Strait. In addition, Palawan covers the Cuyo Islands in the Sulu Sea. The disputed Spratly Islands, located a few hundred kilometers to the west is considered part of Palawan by the Philippines, and is locally called the Kalayaan Group of Islands.

Coron is not only known for its reputation as a great diving site but for its gorgeous beaches as well. Aside from Kayangan Lake that's one of the cleanest lakes in Asia, Banol Beach has definitely made me fall in love with Palawan.

Banol Beach is most well-known amongst Coron Island beaches. It is known for its two beaches, Big Banol and Small Banol and rock formations that are picturesque as well.

Kayangan Lake is a wonderful tourist spot in Palawan surrounded with rocky mountain composed of limestone and clothed with mangrove forests. The water is fresh and clean and you can feel the good aura of the place vibrating. Whether you are a savvy traveller or just a normal guy that wants to be refreshed away from the noise of the city, this majestic nature is surely a solution to that.

Calumbuyan Island in Palawan is a very beautiful island with lots of coral reef around it. You will be pleased not only on the island but also on the water. Calumbayan is surrounded with beautiful fishes and coral reefs.

Snorkeling at Siete Pecados was our first stop in Coron, Palawan. We had a great time and a very exciting way to start our first day of sea tour.

Siete Pecados is the most known and closest snorkeling destination around Coron. The marine life around the islands are amazing, when you snorkel you will see countless of fishes and the bottom is covered with hard corals.

Siete Pecados Coral Reef is a marine park that consists of a group of 7 small rocky islets located just a few hundred meters off Coron town’s coast in Palawan, Philippines. 

The coral reef is home to hundreds of species of fish, such as peacock wrasse, Moorish idols, butterflyfish, pufferfish, and clownfish. It also hosts some larger animals, such as sea turtles, giant clams, and barracuda.
