Banol Beach is a stretch of sandy white beach and usually where lunch is served during Coron Island hopping tours. Banol Beach is a public beach, and similar to the beaches in Coron Island, is surrounded by a majestic backdrop of limestone cliffs.
Banol Beach is also a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. You can rent a small hut from the local folk for a fee and have a picnic on the beach. You can also watch the sunset from the beach and admire the changing colors of the sky and the water.

One must be warned, however, that as of the moment there are no toilets or bathrooms in Banol Beach or in any of the Coron island hopping tour destinations except for a makeshift toilet in Kayangan Lake.

Tapyas is a Cuyunon term which means sliced from the whole. According to the history, during the Second World War, the American Soldiers discovered that the Japanese Troops were hiding at Mt. Tapyas. Based at the present location of Claudio Sandoval Elementary School, they targeted and bombed the said mountain, with the old cañon near the flagpole as the living proof thus resulting to destroy a part of the mountain.

Coron is not only known for its reputation as a great diving site but for its gorgeous beaches as well. Aside from Kayangan Lake that's one of the cleanest lakes in Asia, Banol Beach has definitely made me fall in love with Palawan.
Banol Beach is most well-known amongst Coron Island beaches. It is known for its two beaches, Big Banol and Small Banol and rock formations that are picturesque as well.
