Kayangan Lake is a wonderful tourist spot that is surrounded with rocky mountain composed of limestone and clothed with mangrove forests. The water is fresh and clean and you can feel the good aura of the place vibrating. Whether you are a savvy traveller or just a normal guy that wants to be refreshed away from the noise of the city, this majestic nature is surely a solution to that.

Banol Beach is a stretch of sandy white beach and usually where lunch is served during Coron Island hopping tours. Banol Beach is a public beach, and similar to the beaches in Coron Island, is surrounded by a majestic backdrop of limestone cliffs.

Banol Beach is also a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. You can rent a small hut from the local folk for a fee and have a picnic on the beach. You can also watch the sunset from the beach and admire the changing colors of the sky and the water.

Kayangan Lake is a hall of fame awardee for the cleanest and greenest inland body of water in the Philippines and dubbed as the cleanest lake in Asia. The climb was a bit slippery but you can hang onto to wooden railings. Its definitely worth the 350 steps. The trauma to your joints will disappear upon gazing at the turquoise waters of this lake in Palawan. The serene lake is rimmed with corals, perfect for snorkeling. The water is calm and transparent, the limestone formations are visible.

Coron is a beautiful island in Palawan, Philippines, that offers many attractions and activities for tourists. 

Coron is also known for its stunning natural scenery, such as the Kayangan Lake, a clear freshwater lake surrounded by limestone cliffs; the Twin Lagoon, a pair of saltwater lagoons connected by a small opening under a rock; and the Malcapuya Island, a white-sand beach with turquoise water.

Banol Beach is a stretch of sandy white beach and usually where lunch is served during Coron Island hopping tours. Banol Beach is a public beach, and similar to the beaches in Coron Island, is surrounded by a majestic backdrop of limestone cliffs.

One must be warned, however, that as of the moment there are no toilets or bathrooms in Banol Beach or in any of the Coron island hopping tour destinations except for a makeshift toilet in Kayangan Lake. 

Dimakya Island


Dimakya Island is in the Municipality of Coron, Palawan. A part of the Calamian Group of Islands, it is situated at the Northern tip of Palawan, the Philippine's last frontier.

Dimakya Island is located in the northern Palawan region of the Philippines is a very beautiful part of the world. The reef around the island is home to many turtles, fish, and a beautiful school of jack. Believe it or not, most of this footage was shot on one dive!

Tapyas is a Cuyunon term which means sliced from the whole. According to the history, during the Second World War, the American Soldiers discovered that the Japanese Troops were hiding at Mt. Tapyas. Based at the present location of Claudio Sandoval Elementary School, they targeted and bombed the said mountain, with the old cañon near the flagpole as the living proof thus resulting to destroy a part of the mountain.

Coron is not only known for its reputation as a great diving site but for its gorgeous beaches as well. Aside from Kayangan Lake that's one of the cleanest lakes in Asia, Banol Beach has definitely made me fall in love with Palawan.

Banol Beach is most well-known amongst Coron Island beaches. It is known for its two beaches, Big Banol and Small Banol and rock formations that are picturesque as well.
