Matinloc Island of Palawan

Matinloc Island of Palawan

There are lot of wonderful places in the Philippines and Matinloc Island of palawan is one them. You can't escape the wonderful scenery of this perfect island.

Matinloc Island, the longest slim island in El Nido, has a secret beach, which is a pocket of white sand beach at the corner of a sinkhole, that is inaccessible by boat and surrounded by steep rock walls. To reach it, divers must swim underwater through a narrow crevice in a rock wall. At noon, the sun streams in through the opening, allowing a play of light and shadow against its limestone walls.

There is nothing more interesting than visiting a shrine in the middle of sea in El Nido. Hidden by towering karst cliffs on the western coast of Matinloc Island, Matinloc Shrine in El Nido, ‪Palawan‬ was built in 1982 and subsequently abandoned. Tourists are allowed to make a stop here for the view.

Matinloc Shrine is one of the many remarkable attractions to visit when doing Tour C. Matinloc comes from a Cuyunin word matinlo which means beautiful in English. In fact, the beauty of the island is also appreciated from above as it forms a heart when seen in an aerial view.

American news site Daily News Dig recently came up with a list of “35 Clearest Waters in the World to Swim in Before You Die” and, in a list dominated by European and South Pacific bodies of water, Palawan's Linapacan Island sat squarely in the top spot.

This island is in a remote province and home to many beaches with super clear water. The island has a population of just 14,180 people.

El Nido‬ have standardized its island hopping packages when you can select from A,B,C,D. Each one is designed to be a unique experience. One of the highlights of tour B which is primarily a snorkeling tour is the island of Pinagbuyutan and its coral gardens.

White Sand Balabac Island

White Sand Balabac Island

The island of Balabac is a stunning region filled full of history and a hoard of untouched places to adventure through. Known in the Philippines for its rare plants and animal species, Balabac Island is a unique vacationer’s haven for anyone looking to find those out of the way places in the Philippines.

Built in 1892, Cabo Melville Lighthouse is the best preserved of all Spanish-era lighthouses in the country. The brick and stone structure is located in Balabac Island, a three-hour boat ride from Puerto Princesa. Its original light, lenses and clock are still intact—a rarity among the country’s lighthouses. A trip to Cabo Melville offers not only a view of the past but also of the surrounding picturesque seascape.

The Philippine mouse-deer or Tragulus nigricans is also called the balabac, both names come from their native land - the Balabac island of the Phillipines and it is the only mouse-deer species native to the country!

Cadlao Lagoon by Anderson Image

Cadlao Lagoon

Cadlao Lagoon is one of the best lagoon in the group of islands around El Nido vicinity because of the complete and packaged recreational combination of a lagoon, beach and a snorkeling area. You will be amazed by its sedimentary rock formation around the lagoon as if it is the nature’s fortress of its beautiful and serene location. Enjoy walking on the soft and long sand of Balinaod Beach and take your lunch at Pasandigan Beach.
